Some thoughts on the DSS/UET rear panel

What should be on the DSS-III rear panel ?

For reference, Figure-1 shows the current (old) DSS rear panel.

The rear panel of the old UET is also shown below:

The following is a brief description of what the above labels mean: (Click here to see a diagram of the timer relationships in the old DSS).

DUR1+ is a level that goes high when the Duration-1 timer is on, and goes low when that timer is off.

DUR2+ is a level that goes high when the Duration-2 timer is on, and goes low when that timer is off.

RIT+ is a level that goes high when the Repetition timer is on, and goes low at a fixed time before the repetition time is over.

PCFF+ is a level that goes high at the same time as the first repetition time starts, and goes low after the last repetition time is over.

The following figure shows a proposal for the rear panel of the new DSS (DSS-III).
