As you may have experienced, it takes a lot of time to deal with the alumni information, on both your side and the list maintainer side. With our new computer program, this job is made easier.

Get Your Old Information by Email
This makes your update easier, and also saves time, as your information may have been reformatted. We urge you to use this service.
Automatic Processing
The automatic processing saves the list maintainer time and, more importantly, is error-free. But for it to work properly, we need you to follow some guidelines. Upon the receipt of your information, the system will acknowledge you with your entry.
The Format: Line Format

This format, which we call the Line Format, is the same as that used in our WWW site. It is much easier to make changes in this format since it does not contain those dashed lines in the Form Format. However, due to the lack of those dashed lines, it is more difficult for the computer to process. Thus, except for the general guidelines concerning the contents (which is detailed in the sample form), please follow these additional guidelines:

1. The 4-letter (or 3-letter) key words must be exactly the same as in the above example, in UPPER case, otherwise the line will be ignored.
2. Leave at least one space after the key words. If it is a continuation line, leave at least 5 spaces at the beginning.
3. The spouse entry must be inside the "(Spouse: ... )" line.
4. Leave out any line that you don't have information, such as the WWW address.

If you have received your old information by email, you can just makes changes there.

General Guidelines
1. If both you and your spouse are HBMUers, we prefer you to send SEPERATE entries by seperate emails (we want to treat both of you equally).
2. Do NOT put irrelevent messages, such as "not yet", on the EMAIL and WWW address entries (You may put "I am looking for one" on the Spouse line though).
3. When you need to update your information, even just one line or one character, submit a new entry instead of asking the list maintainer to do so.
4. The detailed instructions, which apply to both Line Format and Form Format, are explained in this sample form in the next.
